Never watched a movie with so many profanities and such a pathetic story.

It was embarrassing to watch by even by myself, lucky the wife was busy with something else and not paying attention. I had to turn the sound right down, and just work with the subs so the kids would not pick up with all the F****** and Mother***** in every scene.

Totally unnecessary, made a bad movie even worse.  ????????????

I enjoyed it, thought there was a lot of funny dialogue. If you are offended by profanities in movies that must severely limit what you watch.

Is your username because you are a "The Beach" fan?

I re watched the movie a while ago and currently re reading the book. IMO the book is better than the movie.

Not sure what the connection is with my user name and the "The Beach". must have missed something.

I thought "The Beach"  was overrated and while it seemed to give Thai tourism a boost it's not a movie I'd go out of my way to see again. :saai:

Fortunately we all have different standards.

Some a bit lower than others :whistling:

Gave The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard a go yesterday but only lasted 32 minutes. I prefer Samuel L Jackson movies when he plays non-comedy roles, such as Pulp Fiction, Lakeview Terrace, The Banker etc

You did well at 32 minutes!

Obviously not connected to the movie/ book then. Daffy Duck was a significant character that committed suicide early on. He gave the map to Richard.

Unfortunately the movie spurred the tourist interest in Maya Bay, which resulted in its destruction.

Ironic though, as the main character, Richard, despised such as the people that visited and ruined Maya Bay.

Right, I remember the character, just forgot his name.

Code Blue Murder on RARBG is well worth a look.

Two episodes.

Summary: Documentary offering unprecedented access to the detectives and CSIs in the Specialist Crime Units of South Wales, following them as they deal with the most serious crimes from the first call-out to the crime scene and, ultimately, to court.

An uplifting movie about Grimsby ??....isn't that an oxymoron fredcats ..........:coffee1:

Is this Sacha Baron Cohen's film '"The Brothers Grimsby"'

---------------

Grimsby has been voted as the worst place to live in England

in 2016 by online publication I Live Here UK. ...

The website claims to present the definitive list

of the "worst god-awful hell holes in England",

with Grimsby apparently the worst of the lot.

I recently watched Patton from 1970. It's about the general and WW2.  One scene shows a place in Palermo, Italy and I wonder if anyone knows what it is. I looked on Google but couldn't match it up. It's supposed to be Palermo, Sicily.

Patton (1970) was filmed in Spain mainly coz it still had a lot of old WW2 military equipment then.

It's La Granja in Sergovia!

"Battle of Britain" movie also filmed in Spain due to all German planes and spare parts were given to Spain post war.

+1.

-1 here. I honestly didn't like the program. I was all fired up because of the reviews but I just couldn't get into it. And it seems I'm not the only one. Google ' I didn't like the queen's gambit' and you'll see I'm not trolling. Many people disliked it.

Jolt

Kate Beckinsale (nearly 50) playing a tough girl that should have a 20 something actress in the role. She was hot and naked age 18 in Haunted (30 years back).

Not watched it yet, trailer looks like John Wick with his Auntie playing his part.

Boys from County Hell (2020)

A recent movie that everyone missed, Vampire move set in some nice Irish countryside. I could only find it on YIFY, and it was well worth the watch.

I've just watched Jolt and I enjoyed it. Kate Beckinsale is as sexy as ever. Thanks for the recommendation @BritManToo.

Lie With Me ---- Channel 5 Australian thriller 4 parts 12/7

So the new Oz/UK thriller is called    "Breathless" or   "Lie With Me"  or   "With Intent"  Depends where your looking.

Come in Will27.....................????....When are they going to fix up the Emoji's

Yes , a little confusing this one, IMDb has it down as “ With intent “ but also “ Lie with me “.

Nearly gave it up after 20 minutes as it is a little daytime soapish but stuck with it and it got a little more interesting towards the end of the first episode and finally turned into a clever little thriller.

Imdb’s rating of 6.8 is spot on I think.

No sudden move (2021)

A little strange and confusing 50’s Detroit crime drama from Steven Soderbergh has a great cast ( Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, Ray Liotta, David Harbour, John Hamm and the elusive Brendan Fraser ). In a typical film noir period piece it tends to lose its way a little bit but all comes clear in the end. Despite the unusual “ fish eye lens “ photography I liked the plot and the movie in general.

I watched it on fmovies.

imdb 6.5.
