  • It will never end, until people here are taught how to drive properly, and that would be an impossible task.

  • And will continue to be, unless serious issues are addressed, proper driving tests, and police enforcement of laws at all times to name two.

  • "28,884 people did not even have licences."  ???? Now in any civilised country with a similar population I don't think the cops could find that many unlicensed drivers in a year!

i dont pay any attention to it any more.

been the same since i have been here

will be the same long after i am gone

if we all do as we have been taught to do at driving schools, and experiences we have gained, we have an extremely high chance of survival.

dont fall into the habits of Thai riders/drivers.

i see so many foreigners riding with no helmets.

So put your brains back in, and dont ride without helmets because you see thais doing it.

maintain your common sense

True but severe punishment for DUI  speeding, not just revoking a licence and 500 baht fine, might eventually have an effect.

DUI, crush the vehicle.

Speeding, a real fine, not 500 baht.

Brother in law just got done for DUI up country, way way over the limit. 12k fine and has to do a month in prison, this 500 baht myth needs to stop.

I guess you didn’t pick up on my sarcasm

Don't worry I got the sarcasm.

Maybe I'm just so jaundiced by this topic after so many years I can't express my thoughts correctly through the exhaustion of it all!

PS, we do need a sarcasm emoji btw, especially for the non native English speakers, Mods take note!

There had been 316 DEAD

There were 2,748 ACCIDENTS

There were 2,741 INJURIES.

They somehow forgot to mention the COVID cases that people brought "home."

  You can't fix stupid.

1,930 facilitation checkpoints being set up.

Where police are paid overtime to stare hard at their phones all day whilst ignoring ALL traffic infractions unless a drunk driver ploughs into them.
