My wife says no Thais will travel to the moon because there are no 7-11 stores there.

  • I vote for Prayut as first Lunar President!!!   He should fly ASAP to ensure the Americans/Russians/Chinese/Indians don't get there first.

  • They would have to land at night time of course!

  • A focus on supporting their citizens who have lost their jobs during a pandemic might be a better choice of priorities. And the bemedalled buffoons wonder why young educated Thais are protesting.

I'll give a month. They'll soon lose interest when they realise it's made of cheese.

Or they can't get sum tom up there

I think that you have other Problems now, take care of your Citizen.....

This seems a retrograde step given I’ve frequently heard ministers talking from the 7th planet....

Pure lunacy, a poor undeveloped nation in financial crisis, send something or somebody into space then what ?  The country remains broke and underdeveloped and nobody in the country receives any benefit from the endeavor.  Also truth be told the task will probably fail as the country isn't really full of space scientist, explorers, technologists or scientists.  Thus it will probably end up being nothing but a huge waste of money

The ambitious plan to launch a lunar orbiter within seven years sparked questions about Thailand’s technological capabilities and whether a costly space mission is justified amid the virus-triggered economic crisis.

That really takes the mooncake

I would immediately approve of this adventure, if the current so-called president of the USA would be the first human in a Thai rocket on this mission and make his supporters pay for it!! Then and only then would I give my approval!!

Why bring American politics into a Thai discussion? Aren't you getting enough of that on other threads?
