The department of land transport is open for business again today.

This means people will be able to get new licences and get extensions.

Priority is given to those who pre-booked an appointment from January 4th to 31st who can apply again to visit from now until March 15th.

Those who apply on the queue system (DLTSmart Queue) or DLT website from now will be allocated an appointment also.

Those who have never been on the system can apply from March 16th.

I need to replace very faded number plates on my car. Can I do that at the DLT (today)?

Earthshattering problem, telephone god for an answer to that one, do it quick before Thailand falls off the end of the world.

Went this morning to make an appointment only. Reception checked doc's,,, short story

had my licence renewal in 70 minutes.

Immigration could learn a lot by looking at their computer software & protocols instead of

still using rubber stamps

By the way,  I see a lot of cars with "faded'" plate numbers in Chiang Mai  since they have to many camera used for speeding and red light.

You are lucky yours is faded naturally.

And they are recent cars and SUVs.   I wonder if they use sand paper or a light spraying with white color. The BIB did not catch this one yet...
