Its just that your politicians tried to blame their own incompetence on the EU. I hardly see the EU in such a negative light in my country. I mean the agreements are first discussed and negotiated by members of your own country. So if you get bad results, don't blame the EU blame your negotiation tactics. Last negative news was about COVID loans and the southern slacker countries. Our PM did not get exactly what he wanted but he got a rebate so we wonb te paying for it did get some other agreements. But we knew he was not going to get everything he wanted. There was a lot of press coverage and in the end the PM did not blame the EU just told us this was the best he could do. That is how you should report news. Brits seem to have totally done things differently and seem to have put all blame on the EU. The pro EU folk never thought it would come back to bite them in the ass. They only thought that its better to blame the EU then to take own responsibility. I can get that anti EU parties would always blame it on the EU, but its just stupid that those that were pro EU were so scared of admitting fault or explaining things in a good way the anti EU sentiment only rose. 5 1

I mean Economic power wise its outclassed by Germany (easily). And Germany does not even rate high. Now that BJ is alone his world stage appearances will only become less. I And yes they all walked out to take responsibility. Something I seldom see with Brit politicians. They hang on to power like Trump. If you think its bad to accept faults and take responsibility then why do you even want to live in a democracy. If my country had excited the EU with the track record your had it would have taken responsibility and stopped too. But then again my goverment would never be so stupid as to leave the EU. There ya go, you and your money thing, your life revolves around money, nothing else. Perhaps your lot capitulated cos they don't know what they are doing, looks like it. Anyhooo, so you agree about our fantastic track record, and your country needing the EU to lean on, well done.. Oh, our country had a democratic vote, a vote put to the people, that vote was eventually honoured, the UK is free of EU shackles, the future beckons, and so does yours....... It is time for you, a Dutch bloke, to stop worrying about the UK's future, stay focused on your own country, and it's governments failure....???? 1 2

Surelynot
Don't you just hate these Remainers.......whinging and whining....we have left....got over it and get on with it. "Writing in the Daily Telegraph, the country’s first minister Arlene Fostersaid the Northern Ireland Protocol “needs to be replaced” and urged Boris Johnson to take actions to that effect. Ian Paisley Jr, another DUP politician, told the BBC on Wednesday evening that the 34 days since the end of the Brexit transition period have been an “unmitigated disaster” for Northern Ireland". 1

I am glad you pointed out "just" 34 days, it really does just point out it is early days in our move to once again being free from those across the channel. Like most big issues it takes time to sort initial problems...Chin up chap, the UK will prevail.... 2

Even then, there will be no appetite to go through this again with the UK... so it will be a long drawn out process if the UK ever does want to rejoin... The UK will just have to learn how to adjust for the foreseeable future... That ship has sailed. The vaccine fiasco just finalised that. The economy of the UK will have to change - but it will take time.

Come on nauseus, it's a clear sign that Old Blighty herself opposes Brexit when her very own symbol of hope in the dark days of WW 2 crumbles before our very eyes. Repent before it's too late. Admit it was all a big mistake and join Michael Gove in begging for the grace period to be extended until 2023 or perhaps forever. 2

You call it nonsense, I call it dealing with those across the channel, which the UK has had plenty of practice with. I am sorry you don't like it, but then I don't like your anti-Brit stance. "We", means my United Kingdom, if you don't like it, it is because of your anti-Brit stance. Obviously I had no part in it, there are very few left to talk about it, but once again it is your anti-Brit stance regarding me mentioning it. Yes, as a kid I bought many war comics, and watched the films, great stuff. I can show you a pic of my R.S.M. dad if you like, in Egypt, circa 1943, I think........
