A vaccine is not a cure nor does it provide immunity.  They simply claim it reduces the risk of infection and or the severity if infected. Therefore it does the exact same thing as a healthy immune system.

When they'll start , I like to know.

Nobody want to pay $1,500 + +  for ASQ and wasted 15 days.

If I am not mistaken, people who got Covid 19 won t get vaccine but are immunized.. Will it be a test which could be done to be allowed to enter here quarantine free ?

everyone in most countries will be offered a vaccine including those who had covid and thus who may have antibodies. The reason is the only way to  determine the level of protection/amtibodies is to carry out a blood test, which is not considered practical in bulk. Therefore all will be offered vaccine based on age, job etc in order.

Having had COVID 19 is no guarantee against subsequent infection, it depends on how long the antibodies produced by the body's immune system last.

There is also the consideration the vaccines may be less effective against the mutant strains of the virus, AFAIK they have only been validated against the original strain.

I fully agree that people have a choice but I suspect that some of those who now post against vaccines are not in fact pro-choice, they are anti vaxxers that have toned down their posts because they know Thai Visa will remove them.  If you mean that I'm trying to influence others (and I'm not sure you do), that is not my intention.

 

What I'm getting at is that in life we are only experts in our own field - if we want to know about a subject that is outside our knowledge, it is better to trust experts in that field than listen to someone else's opinion. You wouldn't expect a computer specialist to be able to give advice on your car.

 

I have no problem with people stating that they don't want the vaccine by choice but using unsubstantiated evidence or using selective quoting (as I pointed out in the post about Israel's experiences) to try to influence people against vaccination is simply wrong. I doubt many people bother to look at the sources given - if they had in the case of the Israel post, they would have seen that the very next paragraph changed things completely.

With regards to how much vaccines prevent transmission of Covid 19 - long awaited studies are now starting to come forward.. The manufacturers of the 'Oxford Vaccine' have now released the results of their studies so far which show a 67% reduction in the virus's ability to be transmitted by a vaccinated person.

Thanks for your civil response to the comment I made on your earlier post.

Unless there is really no other option (e.g. when they would make it mandatory for entering/exiting the country) I would never take the covid-19 vaccine (nor the majority of other vaccines for that matter).

But I am not an anti-vaxxer, and will not deny anybody the right to take it if they believe it will be beneficial for them.  However, my life philosophy and belief-system are completely diametrical with the concept of vaccination. and the research I have done on the subject have only strengthened me in that conviction.  So its a 'No, thank you' for me, but anybody else feel free to go that road.

I would point out that my previous post regarding the results of the Oxford/Asrta Zeneca vaccine. The study results have yet to be peer reviewed - they are nevertheless, very encouraging.
