Phuket officials promote Phuket COVID rules, without explanations

PHUKET:-The Phuket Provincial Government’s official COVID-19 Information Center has launched a public-relations offensive with the launch of at least five videos with Phuket Vice Governor Piyaphong Chuwong explaining in the simplest of terms what is required of domestic arrivals to enter Phuket.

Thailand to get vaccine from Asia after EU export control, minister Anutin says

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand will import the first doses of AstraZeneca's vaccine from Asia after Europe enforced export controls, the country's health minister said on Thursday.

Krabi’s tourism sector sees light at the end of Covid tunnel

To see the disastrous impact of Covid-19 on Thailand’s tourism industry, look no further than Krabi. Tourist arrivals in the southern holiday province plummeted from an average of 6 million per year to just 1.5 million in 2020. Meanwhile tourism revenue fell from around Bt120 billion to only Bt29 billion.

Thailand’s Consumer Confidence Index has dropped from 50.1 points in December to 47.8, the lowest in nine months, due to the second round of Covid-19 infections, the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC)'s Centre for Economic and Business Forecasting announced on Thursday.

Darasamut Underpass to close this Sunday

Biden set to accept more refugees after years of Trump restrictions

Dutch firm to install debris removal devices on Chao Phraya River

BANGKOK (NNT) - A water debris removal device - the Interceptor from the Netherlands, will be installed on the Chao Phraya River to help extract plastic waste that would otherwise flow into the ocean. The device is expected to help remove 3-4 tons of debris from the water daily.
