Tourist arrivals in the southern holiday province plummeted from an average of 6 million per year to just 1.5 million in 2020. Dutch firm to install debris removal devices on Chao Phraya River

BANGKOK (NNT) - A water debris removal device - the Interceptor from the Netherlands, will be installed on the Chao Phraya River to help extract plastic waste that would otherwise flow into the ocean. The device is expected to help remove 3-4 tons of debris from the water daily.
