Road subsidence is back! Samut Prakan road declared a disaster area

 

 

The governor of Samut Prakan has declared an area of the province a disaster zone of great danger after a 150 meter stretch of road collapsed.

 

Pictures published by 77kaoded showed the road had subsided 2 meters in some places. 

 

 

It happened in the Ban Klong Mon area next to Wat Mai in Bang Sao Thong district. 

 

A mains water pipe was ruptured and there were water and electrical authorities on the scene as the area was cordoned off.

 

A crisis meeting was held as the local officials gathered to decide how to proceed. 

 

 

It was decided at the meeting that governor Wanchai Khongkasem would declare the area a disaster zone. 

 

Thaivisa once started a thread after a series of road subsidences in 2015.

Nothing worse then a corrupt roadway.

It's all good, they have shored it up with several timbers.
