Popular Post cmarshall Posted March 12, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 12, 2021 It would be a shame if Cuomo is turfed out for his sexual behavior since his handling of the pandemic was a far bigger crime, that was stupid, dishonest, and catastrophic. It cost many unnecessary deaths, especially in nursing homes. He should go to prison for it. 2 1

We are a DEMOCRACY not a totalitarian state under Trump. Just because some rando from 2 decades ago accuses you of saying something which is protected under free speech laws does NOT mean you are guilty. Cuomo is trying to save New Yorkers but the republicans are obstructing him like always Did you feel the exact same way when Trump was accused of similar things? When his SC candidate was? Etc. Holding such views only when they fit one's political leaning is base. 1

Holding such views only when they fit one's political leaning is base. That’s completely different! Kavanaugh was credibly accused of raping doctor Ford and possibly gang raping multiple women back in the 1980s. We have sworn statements, eye witness accounts and a plethora of accompanying evidence. Doctor Ford was in fearful of her life. It caused her to be fearful of flying and fearful of doors. What Kavanaugh did was horrific. He permanently scarred a young woman’s livelihood through crimes and possibly more. You people are the real problem. You harm women by not believing in their accusations. You only believe ones that fit your own political leanings. This is the year 2021 not the 1990s. Please do better and be a better human being it’s not that hard... 1

I don't know if it's about 'decency', they are politicians, after all. Call me cynical, but I'd wager there's a fair bit of falling in line with contemporary trends, and some competition removal to boot. 1

Ad hominem arguments were a staple with the Trump administration, supporters and posters cheer-leading that side. Don't recall much issues with that, provided it's directed in the opposite direction. CNN is an acceptable source on this forum, and pretty much elsewhere. Deal with it. 1 1

Considering Cuomo's case haven't gone that far yet, how can you discount simply on the available facts? Or for that matter, how can you determine that it's not similar in any way? I didn't say anything about believing either or not believing either set of complaints.

I hope they never holiday in southern Europe, where thousands of huggy cheek kissing sexual harassments* go unremarked on a daily basis. OTOH, how are politicians getting elected if they're insensitive to making people uncomfortable? Can't be a vote-winner... *meso-agressions?

Not even John Daukas, the acting assistant attorney for the Civil Rights division of the Justice Dept. under Trump claims it's anything like a certainty and he's hardly an impartial party. "Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s cover-up of nursing home deaths from COVID-19 could lead to federal criminal charges, a former assistant attorney general has warned. In an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, John Daukas — who was acting attorney general for the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division under President Trump — insisted that the multi-agency probe was “serious, perhaps meriting federal criminal charges.” https://nypost.com/2021/02/22/cuomo-nursing-home-scandal-could-merit-criminal-charges-prosecutor/

She is an editor at Ricochet.com and a contributor to the Washington Examiner blog and magazine. Links from that site would probably be removed. Thus, he chose one from MSN. Figures. 1
