Video: Thais in US military give their support to slapped down Thai student: Follow your American dreams!

Thais born in Thailand who have succeeded in following their dreams to join the US military have come out in support of a Thai student.

 

A big "drama" developed in Thailand after a teacher looked down on a Thai student who said on a form that their dream job was to join the US military.

 

The teacher told the student to change it and come up with something realistic that could actually come true.

 

A firestorm of criticism followed saying the teacher lacked knowledge about the truth and was dismissive of a student's legitimate aspirations.

 

Thais could join the US military, they said.

 

Now a popular YouTuber on "Ja O America Around the World" has joined the fray with encouragement from many people of Thai origin who have made a career in the US armed services.

 

The message from lowly officers up to high ranking officials in the army, airforce and navy was follow your dreams. 

 

You CAN join the US military and make a career for yourself even if you were - for example - born on a farm in Thailand. 

 

These people, both men and women, were proof of that.

 

The teacher at the center of the row has been widely criticized.

Thought as much. Teacher is wrong Very cool.  Cosmetics applied modestly and conservatively, complement both the soldier's complexion and the uniform.????

Yes, it was great. I hope it will influence my son (and wife ????).

The teacher lost BIG face from this.
