A crocodile has been sighted several times in the area of Chalong Bay, Phuket.

Following one sighting of the two meter long croc provincial governor Narong Winsew and the fisheries department's "Krai Thong" team went to the area to work out a catching strategy on Saturday.

On Sunday a foreign yachtsman and his Thai wife were shocked to see the croc surface by their vessel for 2-3 minutes and sailed over to the Krai Thong team who redeployed their nets one kilometer from the original sighting.

What is believed to be the same creature was seen in the Koh Lone area nearby a week ago.

Nikhom Suksawat of the Krai Thong team promised they would soon have the miscreant in custody though this had clearly not happened yesterday while Daily News reporters were on the scene.

I am charging you with being a crocodile in Chalong Bay, Phuket.

How do you plead? And make it snappy.

Ok.. I’ve been in Thailand too long, my cynicism on perpetual overdrive…

Yup.. that’d be about right… Arrest the foreigner (and Thai) wife for bringing the reputation of Thailand into disrepute for alerting everyone of dangerous croc swimming about !

(kidding of course !)

I need a new crocodile wallet and belt, then some boots. The GF needs a crocodile handbag. Tell the hunters to hurry up.

Another reporter stated that the crocodile had been seen attracted to floating sewage in the bay including human waste. Later, the source admitted it was a croc of s++t.

Yep. Way to go.

Most people at the beach are probably 30-40 metres away from a tree - let alone climb it to watch out for crocodiles?.

Most tourists coming to Thailand generally leave their dog at home. the filthy and disgusting beach/Soi dogs would be barking at you - not some crocodile swimming in the sea, offshore.

Tourists arriving for vacation are always on the look out - perceptive enough, scanning scan the beach and the water for crocodiles, warning their children that they might be carried off and eaten.

But hey, - let's just live with them!

This is Thailand - rediculous post!
