Popular Post webfact
PIcture: Daily News A dramatic video from Buriram in the north east of Thailand showed the moments a 53 year old woman gave a six year old boy CPR after he fell in water near a construction site. The construction workers didn't know what to do to save Tar's life but Sommart Nimmit did. She happened to be passing while taking a driving lesson and saw the commotion by a pond, Daily News reported. She gave CPR though she said she didn't think it would be successful as the child was already going green. But she persisted for two minutes then the child spluttered and vomited up some food and even opened his eyes. Sommart said that she had had to do a CPR course while she was a hotel maid in Norway as it was company policy. She had never upgraded her skills and never thought she'd have to use them but she saw she was needed and stepped in to help. She said it was filmed so that she could send it to her former employer in Norway to show that she had been able to utilize what she had learned. The story was widely shared after it appeared on Facebook on the page of "Namfon GreacChotiga". Most praised the actions of the lady but some said her technique was not how to perform CPR. Sommart said she knew she wasn't an expert but she did her best. The child is now out of danger at Nong Ki hospital in Buriram. A construction worker called Prasit Khampha, 20, said that three children had been at the pond. He heard them screaming that their friend had fallen in and dived in to rescue the child whose heart had stopped. He put the child over his shoulder to try and get him to breath but it wasn't working. That was when the former hotel maid stepped in to save the day. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-03-16 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Popular Post milesinnz
The important thing to do in this sort of situation... is to DO something... just standing around and crying what to do will lead to just one bad outcome. So even if you think you don't know what to do or have not practiced recently, just do your best.... Edited March 16, 2021 by milesinnz

D=danger to yourself(or others); R=response from victim; A=airways check nothing blocking airway (like false teeth etc); B= are they breathing if not kiss of life; then C=CPR. Thailand Zilch.
