Every major road and city can be seen. Incredible clarity, considering that it's taken from the space station. 1

cobra
And to think the ISS is only 250 miles up, a very low orbit but high enough to see large swathes of the earth's surface,
Popular Post simon43
I probably uploaded this image before. The resolution from geo-stationary weather satellites, way out at more than 22,000 miles, is quite amazing. This photo is from the relatively-new South Korean bird called GK-2A, received at my home in north Laos. I'm not sure if the forum software will reduce the image resolution, but the original image is 2700 x 2700 pixels, and quite stunning! whaleboneman
I like spotting the Space Station at night. From the Nasa website, you can find out exactly what time to watch for it and where. Plan a night out with a friend and show off your magical powers by predicting a very slow falling star right before it passes overhead. https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/view.cfm?country=Thailand®ion=None&city=Bangkok
