INN News reported that the Department of Special Investigation was warning Thais about getting involved in an illegal investment site.

The site claimed to be registered abroad and was offering packages for investing in European companies.

For as little as 99 Euros - 4,000 baht up to 2,499 Euros 120,000 baht - people could get high returns.

Bonuses would be given if people managed to get four new customers in 14 days.

It was connected to the sale of "digital assets" and the company had not been registered in Thailand and was operating illegally, said the DSI.

Anything with the promise of high returns is always suspect and more than likely a scam of some type.  Thai's love the idea of quick money without having to do much as the greed factor is high here.   Always looking to change their lives, why do you think the Lottery is so big Mr. DSI.  Why don't you ban that gambling source.  Of course then Thailand is not an island unto it's own when it comes to the vulnerable and naïve.

Same as selling every single day lottery tickets. Does anybody ever wins anything apart of the 2000-3000baht occasionally.

I had the same pictures when I got my "sex-education lesson", aged 9.

I was going to write exactly the same thing - you beat me to it. Its laughable that they actually show a pyramid in the advert but the thing is over here pyramid schemes are almost seen as a legitimate investment... which is even more laughable. Now if you excuse me I am just on my way out to a seminar for a forex trading opportunity. No experience required, guaranteed 10% return each month - what can go wrong!
