World Bank cuts Thai GDP growth outlook to 3.4% this year

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's economy is expected to grow 3.4% this year, down from the 4% projected earlier, and the recovery would be gradual amid high uncertainties and weak tourism, the World Bank said on Friday.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai health officials rushed to calm public fears on Friday after confirming a man had died 10 days after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine earlier this month.

Eight arrested for Phuket Town car park scam

PHUKET: Police last night (Mar 25) arrested eight people who were involved in a scam whereby they were illegally charging people to park their vehicles in public areas near Nimit circle on the east side of Phuket Town.

Suez blockage sets shipping rates racing, oil and gas tankers diverted away

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Reeling from the blockage in the Suez Canal, shipping rates for oil product tankers have nearly doubled this week, and several vessels were diverted away from the vital waterway as a giant container ship remained wedged between both banks.

The office of Prime MInister has ordered the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) to investigate the unregistered online entity that has been advertising the ability to reserve for COVID-19 vaccines in advance.
