Is The Mae Sai / Tachilek Border Crossing Open?

Opening land borders for private travel would be BIG NEWS.

Not even a trace of news/plan when to re-open.

Currently out of sight.

No way to do any visa/border runs.

People from Myanmar and maybe other countries crossed illegally to Thailand.

They were repeatedly blamed for bringing Covid19 to the country.

Also some Thais coming back illegally fleeing bad outbreaks of the infection.

Borders have been reinforced somewhat but I am certain there will still be illegal crossing.

I haven't read about Myanmar people trying to flee the terror to Thailand.

I heard reports from a TaiYai lady of gunfire in Tachilek this week.

I dont think so

Im only down the road and havnt heard anything
