Where to recover strength and more?

Featured Replies

As can be guessed by my TV name, I'm an ex-phuketianer, some 10 years ago.

What is the goal: excellent strength-building therapy, in or at nearby top hotel,

It's more recovery than body building therapy

My dream is a Hotel with pool at the room to take quick plunges.

Perhaps in several 2 week stretches, to go back to CNX

The is only brainstorming

Any idea taking me into that direction , is welcome

Plenty of “top hotels” and/or condos/villas with pool access across the island.

Checkout airbnb, agoda, and hotels.com.

Top hotel&pool, room at the pool is the easy part, The combination of Top hotel&pool, room PLUS therapy is more difficult. I know that expats living in Phuket are unlikely of going to a hotel.

But they may know of an excellent therapist/fitness studio

I would take it from there.

There are several problems here, firstly the amount of venues/hotels that are actually open at the moment, and then those that are, the proximity to each other.   Somewhere there will have to be compromise.

For the fitness/conditioning, I would recommend Soi Tai Ed in Chalong.   Although quite a few of the shops are closed at the moment, there are still facilities operating, mostly Muy Thai training, and gyms, but fitness/conditioning also.

One such is Unit 27.   This is a well established operation with a good reputation.   I go past there every day and given the number of cars/motor cycles parked nearby, it's fully up and running.

There are a number of accommodation options nearby, with I guess this one being closes to the type of place you're looking for.   It's about 200 metres along the Soi from Unit 27.

There are a  number of food outlets still open on Soi Tai Ed, and other within a short walking distance.   In particular, 'Poached' on Chaofa West is great for breakfasts, 'Ceres' a Korean restaurant also on Chaofa West.   'We Cafe' again on Chaofa West.   Lots of decent places in Phuket Town which isn't far away.

We know the area well, formerly living in Nai Harn, 5 happy years. Every morning walk up Promthep.  Very healthy. Perhaps......

Hotel is a gem. But not for now,

But if we come to PHUKET perhaps beer at the pier.

Cheers Pico CNX

I doubt it.

What do you mean by "meaning guests?" Perhaps affable guests?

  • 5 months later...

well, STAY are stating that. I ‘ve been there. the gym is a purpose built, large three -storey facility.

point is its huge - modern- well equipped & staffed. check it all out online. ONSEN is sensational.

27k baht monthly all in deal, I suppose for a studio or one bed. thats 900 baht night rate . Five Star.

Could easily stay there without leaving for that month !
