Following on from Bkk Madness' comments about no real threads of substance these days, I'd like to add that : Very few - in the mainstream western world - seem to understand that full-time life can be freaking hard here and we don't post our tales of woes and comical woeship for the fun of it.

(None of my family or friends seem to understand that life is not all hammocks and tropical life on idyllic beaches..... )

Well, maybe for some .... but I do believe that many, of those of us who live here in long-term credence, do deserve a degree of respect in assisting the acceptance of "New World Thailand"?

its very hard to tell people that you have a hard life living in phuket when they are working there bollicks off back home saving up to go there.

suppose you could be like the duck and head back home. by the way, he is loving it back in the real world.

sinse your a top mod now, your life can only improve with the rush of power that being a mod must bring you.

sinse you have all this responsibility all of a sudden, you might have to go easy on the red wine and be more careful with your peppermint tea.

I understand what you're saying khall. Believe it or not, guys, life ain't always a bowl of cherries. You can't complain about it to the folks back home, because you're in paradise & hey, "life's a beach". And if you dare put a thread on the main forum that in any way, shape or form could possibly, in a month of Sundays or a blue moon, could be thought of as criticising Thailand, the Thais or the flora & fauna of LoS (deliberate usage! ), well expect "I don't lie" & his posse to be all over you.
