Looking For Good Resturants Along Chao Praya River Between Bangkok And Ayuthaya

Featured Replies

I'm looking for some reccomendations on some nice riverside resturants on the Chao Phraya just out side Bangkok. Maybe in Pak Kret, Pathumtani, Ban Pak At, Ban Bang Krasan, Bang Pa In, or Nonthaburi. Anything with a nice, sabuy river vibe.

Maybe a little far for you - it's actually just outside Ayutthaya - but the food is excellent (mostly fish, prawns), and the view is beautiful.

Oh, and the English menu is very short - the Thai version is much more comprehensive.

Gotta give this one a plug (it's run by by step son), on the 3309 just past the Pathum Thani Water Company look for it on Google Earth (blue roof)

Pretty basic (not flash), very popular with the locals, no English menu. Pleasant views across the river PM for accurate directions :o

Can't remember the name but the food is absolutely outstanding. Recommend the crispy duck and the jumbo grilled prawns.

Go across the main road bridge onto the island .. make a hairpin turn back toward the river. At the 3 way, turn right and go about 1 km(?).

It's on the river bank, 2 levels. Parking on the right.

Nam prik ong isn't bad either ..
