On the coethailand.mfa.go.th website for the US, "10 - Foreigners with Medical Appointment" is listed as a type of permitted persons. But it doesn't show what kind of visa goes with this, if any. Has anyone tried this? It seems like a person could just come in visa exempt and bypass further documentation needed with a visa.

In most cases you would apply for a single entry non-o visa for medical treatment.

Info is here on the embassy website in the US. https://thaiembdc.org/2020/07/11/visa_coe_medicaltreatment/

You could enter as a tourist visa exempt or on a tourist visa and then with supporting documents from a hospital/doctor apply for 90 day extension of stay based upon requiring medical care.

All what i can see that u need to be 50yr old+ for that kind of visas :

My Doctor in Thailand want me to do treatment at his hospital but not sure what visa or if even is possible . .

I did find this info: https://thaiembdc.org/consular-services/tourist-visas/tourist-visa-category-mt/

But that is an TR visa 60d i need 1yr visa.

You get medical treatment with any type of visa. A tourist visa would allow you to get the treatment.

You cannot get a one year visa that allows you to stay for one year other than a OA or a OX visa for retirement or Thai Elite visa.

After entering the country on tourist visa you would apply for 90 day extensions for medial reasons.

This clause of the immigration order allows them.

If your under 50, then your only option is to apply for a TV to enter Thailand, then apply for 90 day extension based on receiving ongoing medical treatment.

50 or over, consider the Non O-A Visa.
