Jeffr2
World O Meters is not a reliable site. And even the numbers reported here are not 100% accurate. Don't forget long covid. Just because you survive doesn't mean your back to normal. They're still trying to figure out how many end up with this problem. 1 1

Disclosure. I am an online TV poster. Ask not who said it, ask what they said. -- rabus
KhunBENQ
The site just reflects what is published officially in Thailand. Tons of sources where you find these numbers in Thai language on colorful diagrams/slides. Not more not less. Whether you trust the official numbers: separate topic. Rockhound
Worldometers and Our World In Data are two sites which publish all of the official Covid Date (and a heck of a lot more besides). Check out this map of global Covid death rates. https://ourworldindata.org/explorers/coronavirus-data-explorer?tab=map&zoomToSelection=true&pickerSort=asc&pickerMetric=location&Metric=Confirmed+deaths&Interval=Cumulative&Relative+to+Population=true&Align+outbreaks=false&country=Africa~Asia~Europe~NorthAmerica~SouthAmerica~Oceania

Caldera
As far as the ongoing 3rd wave is concerned, in reality nobody knows the survival rate at this time, because many cases haven't played out yet.
rickudon
Worldometer is about as accurate as you can get for a global overview. What the Thai government reports is used. Now the accuracy of any countries statistics is open to question as criteria used varies and no system detects every case. Many deaths in Thailand have no coroner involved in cause of death, especially in rural areas. No covid test - no covid death. The actual current reported death rate/positive test rate is remarkably low - about 0.3% but the latest wave is producing more deaths. As i think already said, we will not know the actual death rate until the pandemic is over - many people still ill. Also, excess death rate is a good measure of actual covid deaths in countries with many deaths.
