Wear a mask while running late at night subject to enforcement?

Some outstanding sanctimony on this thread so far !!!

Running with a mask on is not comfortable at all....   Op, just cut holes in your mask so you can breath easier.

Ignore all the tools who talk of pollution - there is hardly any pollution in Thailand at the moment.

Ignore all the tools saying you are a greater risk if you don’t wear a mask, they can’t see the forest for the trees.

Not at all,

The covid restrictions and common courtesies only apply to others. Not you, because you are special.

The latest outbreak, new variants, escalating spread and significant death numbers are no concern of yours, any measures to try and slow the latest wave are for the other 99%.

Its actually very thoughtless of the Thai government to bring in all these pandemic fighting measures, and not publish a personal exemption for you.

People cant even attend their loved ones funerals at the moment, let alone complain about wearing a mask.

Somewhat of a virtue signalling over reaction....

Running around a park places no one else in significant risk...  its not as though he’s running through a crowded market.....

Let's not loose track of common sense.

They have common-sense here in Thailand?  Sundew doubts that very much.

Few years ago I used to see cage fighters in Hawaii jogging in special masks. They simulate altitude or restrict breathing in some way to increase stamina and endurance. I do not belief breathing through a flimsy surgical mask during normal exercise is unhealthy.

Sundew wonders if Captain Monday thinks all the joggers or walkers are also cage fighters?  Your opinion is of course medically unqualified but you keep giving it if it makes you feel good honey.

That is medically unsound.

Last year the Min of Health advised not running with a mask.

I'd go with the having one around the chin, available

Sundew always talks with the lovely Thai people who are driving and wearing a mask.  We ask them why they are wearing a mask and they tell us that the Covid is in the air.

Why would anyone argue with a sharp mind like that?

Comfort? I agree they are uncomfortable for some people. Especially my fellow Americans, the look when the men in particular have a mask on with that hang-dog countenance, especially when it is pressing down on a douchebag beard is a classic.

I sometimes forget I have a mask on they don't bother me at all.

What are your medical qualifications?  Tell Sundew.  Are you a pulmonary specialist? Tell us all about your credentials.

My academic credentials are irrelevant. The internet FUD that it reduces oxygen content of each breath or increases CO2, that's nonsense. Common sense tells you a cloth over your gob could restrict breathing. Its exercise right? Don't breath harder, breath smarter. In through nose out through mouth.  First learn stand, then learn fly.

If you want to exercise outdoors without a mask in Thailand, expect problems. It's just for show anyway. End of 2022 or so, in Asia  covid charade will be over .

You're trying to fool Sundew. Sundew knows that you don't want to talk about your lack of credentials because that would let people know that you are talking out of your mask.

In through the nose in your scenario only works if you are one of these idiots that wear the mask below their nose, or on their chin.  Sundew steers clear of these idiots.

We’re expected to wear a mask with my wife and son in the car... silly rule, mask just stays under my chin.

Exercising with a mask in this heat and humidity is difficult...  remaining intelligent and not running with strangers (i.e. maintaining social distancing) is fine... how many people run in a park anyway, its not as if it gets crowded.

Arguably - the new covid-19 cases are in clusters around markets etc... the risk of spread due to running etc is minimal compared to shopping malls and markets etc.

Mask wearing while running in a park ??? don’t be silly people...  some of you will be suggesting more restrictions for the Phuket Sandbox model next.
