Thai Rath reported that the Thai Chamber of Commerce said that the third wave of the pandemic currently rampant in Thailand had caused losses of 200 billion baht already.

If it goes on for several more months make that 300 billion.

Meanwhile the Thai Restaurant Association said that the ban that came in today stopping in house dining would cause losses of 1.4 billion baht to their members.

They called for loans and interest breaks from the government.

In Chiang Mai a group representing bars and restaurants have penned a letter via the provincial governor to the government to review the ban and overturn the CCSA ruling.

This came as Covid-19 spokemen were warning against non-essential travel and stressing that all people outside their homes must wear masks in Thailand.

This government are a despicable bunch of greedy, stupid, ignorant fools who have absolutely no concern for the population of this country, irrespective of if you are a Thai, foreign worker or expat, they are only concerned with filling their pockets.

A disgusting state of affairs. ????????????????????

I would be at least *mildly* impressed if the Members of the Cabinet/Government (and MPs and Senators) were to announce that they would (temporarily) renounce accepting their respective salaries, in solidarity with The Little People who have lost their incomes due to Covid-decisions/restrictions made by the Government.

It wouldn't affect them one iota.   And the public knows it.

It's not like they could afford their mansions, lifestyles, and watch collections on their declared gov't salaries.
