My annual extension is coming up and I'd really prefer NOT to have to bring my wife and daughter along during this time.

Do they need to come with me to immigration?

Your wife has to be with you when you apply for a one year extension based upon marriage. She has to complete and sign a affidavit as part of the process.

Some offices may want your daughter to be with you when the application is done.

What about extension based on a child (in Bangkok)?

Do you have to take child and mother every extension?

I know when I lived in the provinces, it was a requirement.

My EX is getting kinda <deleted> about having to be there now.

And now we live in Bangkok, the last thing I wanna do is take my kid over to Chaeng Wattana to sit the entire day (no chance my EX would do that), nightmare.

At least in the provinces, immigration is quieter, no big queues.

Any insights?

Your child must be with you.

Not sure about their mother being with you if you are divorced.

Yes, She needs to sign some papers and also they take your family pictures. At least that's what they did when I was there for an extension.
