Currently i have a one year visa based on thai child.

It runs out on the 9th of june.

My 400k will have neen in my bank  for 2 months by the 27th of May.

I was just wondering when i go to immigration on the 27th how long before i get the new extension if everything is in order.

Do they give another under consideration stamp and if they do how long before they gramt me the extension.

You can apply for the extension up to 30 days early so no problem to do it on the 27th.

You will get another under consideration stamp with a report back date 30 days from the day your apply or from the end of your current extension at some offices.

So just to confirm if i apply on the 27th of may my visa should be granted on the 26th of june .

If they go by current visa 9th of june should be 9th of july.

 

Just need a rough idea as would like to return home to work.

Ps. once i have the under consideration stamp would you advise me not to touch the 400k until i have been granted the visa

Yes and yes.

I think Phuket starts the 30 day from the day you apply. Look at your previous under consideration stamp to confirm it is 30 days from the day you apply.

I suggest you keep the 400k in the bank until you get your extension stamp.

I thought you didn't need to keep the 400k in the bank for this visa extension. When I did it in Khon Kaen, I didn't.

Some offices want proof that the 400k baht is still in the bank at the end of the under consideration period.
