BANGKOK (NNT) - After two Thai nationals were reported killed in southern Israel on 18th May, casualties in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, the Ministry of Thailand has announced that family of the deceased and those injured will receive help from both the Israeli and Thai authorities.

The Minister of Labour Suchat Chomklin, announced today that two Thai nationals in Israel had died in a Hamas rocket strike this week. The two were working in a factory in the Ohad agricultural estate located 14 kilometers away from the Gaza strip yesterday.

The two Thai workers have been identified as Mr Weerawat Karanboriboon, originally from Petchaburi province, and Mr Sikarin Sangaram from Buriram province.

Another Thai national, Mr Attachai Khamkaew, was severely injured in the attack, along with seven other Thai nationals who were slightly injured.

The Minister of Labour said the victims will receive compensation from social security agencies in both Israel and Thailand, while the Ministry of Labour has started coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to relocate Thai nationals in at-risk areas, and to arrange the transportation of the deceased back to Thailand for a funeral.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv has released a statement offering condolences to the victims’ families, while urging Thai workers in Israel to remain vigilant and to follow instructions given by the Israeli authorities, especially outdoor warning sirens.

Thai nationals in Israel can request emergency assistance ffrom the Embassy by calling the Thai Embassy on 054-636-8150, or by posting a message on Facebook to the Royal Thai Embassy, Tel Aviv’s official page.

Israel is a popular employment destination for Thai workers, with a government-to-government agreement established between both countries to facilitate the employment of Thai nationals in Israel.

Employment contracts in Israel’s agricultural sector have been granted to around 5,000 Thai workers so far, with around 3,100 of them already working in the middle eastern country.

According to the Thai Embassy, there are around 4,000 Thai nationals working at Ohad agricultural estate. The embassy has already helped evacuate some Thai workers working at agricultural estates close to the Gaza strip. to a safer place.

Hamas does not discriminate who they kill as that's what Islamic radical terrorist organizations do. They killed enough of their own people without remorse with their rockets that landed in Gaza and firing rockets toward agricultural communities knowing foreign workers are there.

Cowards also send over jets to bomb civilians resulting in the deaths of scores, including children.

Well I say cowards, I mean something much stronger.

I have no sympathy for hamas and regard their violence with the same contempt I do for anyone who murders civilians for the “cause”.

However don’t try to bs me that what the Israeli govt is doing is any better or different.

You can BS yourself thinking Israel mission and goal in this war is to kill innocent civilians when they try to avoid and warn them ahead of time before a strike where Hamas terrorists only sole purpose in life is to exterminate to neighbors with any means.

Not sure you realize in a war zone unfortunately civilians casualty happens just like any war in history, but keep watching Al Jazerra propaganda thinking Israel are the cowards.

There is no excuse for the Israeli bombing civilian areas and turning them into a war zone.

It is appalling you think that the civilians murdered in these bombing raids are an unfortunate casualty of war.

Al Jazerra? Oh dear…is that what you believe anyone going against the Fox news bias watches, my oh my.

Never watched AJ,  I don’t need to be told by a news channel that the Israeli actions are as unconscionable as hamas’s..  I can work that out on my own.

So when the Hamas military operations are embedded within civilian settings and Hamas is hurling missiles into Israel, what is Israel supposed to do? Send in community organizers?

Israel is bombing civilian areas and that is no better than hamas’s actions. Both are attacking civilian areas.

You didn't even try to answer the direct question.

I pointed out that Israel and hamas are both bombing civilians and that is the point I have been making all along.

Don’t try to tell me either side is justified in doing this because they are not.

As to what the Israeli govt should do, go along with the UN calls for a ceasefire and accept mediation would be my choice-and it goes without saying (though I will) hamas should do the same.

So according to you Israel should just ignore military targets if they're embedded with civilians. Got it. Sorry but that's not a realistic expectation.

Feel free to believe that but as far as I’m concerned what the Israeli govt is doing is no better than hamas’s actions.

All they are doing is responding with double the force. It was not Israel who started firing rockets in to Gaza but other way around. For every action there is a reaction

I agree.  If Hamas place their military in civilian areas, then Israel needs to find other methods of 'taking them out', other than bombing and missiles, which are not accurate enough to exclude civilian casualties.  I thought that the Israeli security forces were well-known for having all manner of 'sneaky' killing methods up their sleeves. Playing tit-for-tat with Hamas will only increase civilian deaths on both sides.  It's a no-win situation and I guess it only increases support for Hamas in Gaza by the very public death of kids etc.  Israel needs to employ other, less-public, execution methods of the Hamas leaders.

Funny you mentioned, But Israel does give a prior warning to vacate residential areas where Hamas is hiding out. Do not recall Hamas giving any warnings to civilians before firing 100 rockets per day

Hamas targets ONLY civilians, where as Israel targets ONLY Hamas who are hiding among the civilians and sadly civilians get killed.

They're all to blame, no-one is innocent.

If peace was established today they'd fight among themselves this evening.

They don't know how to live in peace, none of them.

If you took religion out of it they'd still find an excuse to kill each other.

Do not agree. Israel made peace with jordan and Egypt and it holds for decades already

Yes, that's the problem. Hamas actually takes the population it pretends to care for as hostages (living shields)

Peace has been established many times since the 5 Arab armies tried to destroy Israel in 1948, the Arabs broke the peace every time, or were about to before they were defeated again. It's impossible to live in peace when almost all the neighboring states have tried to destroy your existence for over 70 years. The conflict has never really been about land, that could have been solved in the 1930's.

That still does not justify bombing civilians.

And yet is those who live in Gaza who are bearing the majority of deaths.

Yet it is Israeli attacks in civilian areas that has led to the most deaths.

Nothing justifies bombing civilian areas.

So the Israelis aren't "sneaky" enough for you. After all those inscrutable Israelis are famous for their sneaky stuff.

A classic example of Israel being demonized with a ridiculous double standard.

It does when your strategy is to fire thousands of missiles from civilian areas full knowing the response will end up with civilian casualties which is what they want, to show the whole world what Israel is doing, its called (propaganda).

let us know what your government should do in response of missiles that are aimed to kill you full knowing they are being fired from your enemy in residential areas. If Israel was the United States Gaza would have been nothing but a pile of ruble by now.

Maybe Israel should politely ask Hamas to fire rockets their from open fields where there is no civilian population instead of being rats hiding in tunnels and residential buildings.
