A garage repair yard owner in Udon Thaini in Thailand's north east got a shock when his dog brought home something she found.

 

It was 2,000 Ya Ba (methamphetamine pills mixed with caffeine) pills that two year old "Seenin" had found outside by a wall. 

 

"O", 59, (an assumed name) immediately called the cops who found the drugs wrapped in two layers of different color plastic.

 

While they were investigating a man outside on a motorcycle was looking at the wall and at his phone repeatedly. But despite his suspicious behavior he was later released without charge, reported Sanook.

 

O said that on Wednesday night two men on a motorcycle with torches fitted to their helmets were milling about in the soi repeatedly going one way and the other. 

 

Seenin ran out and chased them. At the time O thought they were local fishermen. 

 

It happened in Soi Amarin 2 in Ban Jan off the Mitraphap (Friendship) Highway.

 

It was the next morning when Seenin came back with the package. O called a friend to examine the package then went to take his thyroid meds before being called by his pal who had found the Ya Ba. 

 

He wasted no time in calling the police. Sanook said in their headline that he was "just in time".

 

Such an amount of Ya Ba could see a very long prison sentence, notes Thaivisa. 

 

Pol Capt Charoenchai Nikoonkan of the Muang Udon Thani police said it appeared that the drugs had been put outside as a drop off point by a gang for pick-up by someone else before the dog made her intervention.

 

CCTV is being examined.

I'm told that Yah (drug/medicine) :

Baa is pill of meth mixed with caffeine.

Maa is pill of meth mixed with a lot more caffeine.

Ice is the crystal form.

 

I'm told the yaa maa is the real crazy one because it keeps one from sleeping, for days at a time (if keep taking).

Its the lack of sleep that really damages the brain.

 

Many gogo girls are often on one of these, probably supplied my the premises, to stay up working till late in the morning.

Taxi drivers too.

 

It's no coincidence, Red Bull was invented here in Thailand, albeit under a different name and much stronger to keep people awake.
