Good education and a good job brings no happiness. I wouldn't mind if my wife would have a good education and a good job. But then if she would be young and pretty and well educated and a good job then she wouldn't choose a guy who is at least 20 years older than her, me.

 

Can and should someone really select the future wife with such a list of criteria? I have a friend who always enjoyed going to bars and having fun. At some stage he decided to marry a decent women. I have had many female friends in the West who spent most of their best years looking for Mr. Right (I was never Mr. Right but had incredibly close relationships with a few of these gals over the years).  They'd eventually fold and pick some loser when their biological clocks were nearing 2300.  Have a kid or two and get divorced.  So much for planning.
So keep that in mind when you're on Tinder or some other dating site reviewing your criteria and remember - the gals on the other end are looking for Mr. Right.  Mr. Right doesn't need to be in the equation past having kids and providing support.

I can honestly say I don't know why anyone would marry an Aussie woman.

My Brit son had a child with an Aussie women, the woman's actually bigger and more manly than him, but at least he has the sense not to marry her.

But they are really fine lasses for rangling and shearing sheep. The country variety are useful.  I much prefer the country variety of Western women in a rural setting.  Had one once.  But I made the mistake of taking her to the city and she changed.  Had to cut her loose after a really good first decade of marriage.  Then she wanted - More Stuff.  I cut the money-line before kids could appear as she was sniffing around younger men and I saw were it was going.

My wife at 45 is not unattractive. When I see other farang wives she's almost always the looker. She was cute when I met her 12 years ago.

 

Her disposition is absolutely lovely. She never gets angry. I don't mean she just doesn't show it. She's very happy go lucky, mai pen rai. I love her so much for that.
