PHUKET: All domestic arrivals entering Phuket by road or boat, except children under 5 years old, must be fully vaccinated or tested negative for COVID-19 within seven days of arriving on the island in order to be permitted to enter Phuket without serving any mandatory quarantine, a new order issued by the Phuket Governor has confirmed.

 

The new provincial order (No 2920/2564), signed and dated by Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew on Friday (May 28), is to come into effect on Tuesday (June 1) and is to remain in effect until another order is issued.

 

The order was posted publicly last night (May 29).

So local governors create and sign provincial orders which come to effect until  another order is issued.

That explains quite a bit; neither the people living there not central government is asked any questions - if not misused, then it is possibly ....... nah, lets not get there! 

Can't fix stupid. 

So just how many people in Thailand have been fully vaccinated? And are they all going to descend on Phuket any time soon?

I always preferred Koh Samui to Phuket and I prefer Koh Chang these days, to both of them.

 

If its still a mess travelling to the UK and we get vaccinated here soon, then I will get to Koh Chang for 7 days or so.

 

At the moment, good hotels with swimming pools in Isaarn are my preferred choice, and the bars and such are open.
