Yala COVID-19 Cluster Spreads to 12 Provinces

BANGKOK, June 22 (TNA) – The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) ordered serious disease control measures as patients from an Islamic center in Yala were spreading throughout the South except Chumphon and Ranong provinces.

 

CCSA spokeswoman Dr Apisamai Srirangson yesterday reported 402 COVID-19 cases from the cluster of the Markaz Islamic school in Yala province and South African and British variants of the coronavirus were among them.

 

COVID-19 cases from the cluster already expanded to 12 southern provinces and the Department of Disease Control and the Department of Medical Sciences were expected to report the degree of COVID-19 mutations in the cluster within this week.
