TCP LIQUID

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if 50ml TCP liquid is available online or otherwise in Thailand.

I use easy available Antiseptic Dettol  liquid from Lazada or Shopee.

No, it is not. TCP is a phenol solution. The topical antiseptics available in Thailand are not phenol solutions.

Before I suggest locally  alternatives, please clarify what yo uwant to use it for.  Apply to cuts and scrapes? Gargle with? etc

Hi Sheryl,

I realise that this is an old post but I just stumbled upon it.

I have false dentures which occasionally cause a gum abrasion if I'm not very careful when eating. If I do nothing, which is the case here in Jomtien, since I too have been unable to source TCP, my gum heals itself VERY slowly.

This means that I have to endure quite a lengthy period of discomfort while eating "softer" foods.

My son is visiting me from the UK in three weeks time and he's bringing some TCP (which he had trouble finding in the UK) with him.

It would be useful to know if I can source a local generic here in Jomtien/Pattaya for future reference. It tastes horrible but, I hold it in my mouth for several seconds before rinsing out my mouth and then gargling with clear water. I have found that employing this method vastly shortens the healing process.

TIA, David.

I hate the smell of TCP it always reminds me of my grandparents house, that and "jeyes fluid" hope you find an alternative.

My missis gets mouth ulcers and she gets some over the counter cream from the chemist  I tried it after my mouth got quite sore after a prolonged  "nil by mouth" stay in hospital, it kind of coats the mouth and tongue with a sticky covering and definitely helps...Kanolone  or lonnagel      both very similar   worth a try
