BANGKOK (NNT) - Users reporting issues with the Pao Tung application on the first day of the third phase of the co-pay scheme, are being reminded that they must verify their identity using the program’s face scan function, the Krungthai NEXT application or at Krungthai Bank branches and ATMs.

Residents of Yala municipality were seen today making full use of the initial 1,500 baht transferred to them under the third phase of the co-pay scheme today (July 1, 2021), mostly purchasing necessities or food. One curry and rice seller reported that many customers were using the scheme, thanking the government for issuing the program and stimulating commerce amid the COVID-19 situation.

Most users of the program shared in the thanks, saying they were using their 1,500 baht to purchase goods for their households.

Nonetheless, a number of users in Bueng Kan province were unable to access their funds due to issues with the Pao Tung app, believed to be due to the large volume of traffic on the first day. Most reports were made in the early hours of the day with normal usage reported from 6:45am onwards. Shop owners were busy restocking their shelves this morning in anticipation of good sales.

The program undertakes to issue a total of 3,000 baht to registrants in two transfers. The second is to take place on October 1. The funds can be used to pay half of any bill up to 150 baht a day.

Always felt food was a necessity myself...

1,500b now and 1,500b in October, all good! And you still have to pay for half of what you spend, it only deducts max 150b per day...

Dont think ATM's have anything to do with it, you top up your wallet on the phone. Problem is while SCB worked those trying with K bank could not get it to work. It's almost a waste of time anyway, 500 baht a month that you cannot spend in the big shops. They have to go to Krungthai to get scanned and register.
