andrea65 Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Hi, i apply at immigration to renew my thai child visa ( family visa non o ) on 2 /6/21 , when i apply they give me 30 days extension not from the expiration date of my visa ( 1 july 2021 ) but from the date of application , the result is that the extension expire at the same date of my original visa 1July 2021 !!! Is it normal??? Then i wait for my visa to be approve til today that is 1 july but still on the website " Under Processing " , i call the immigration and they told me to not worry and just wait for the approval !! Yes but my visa is EXpire !!!! All this process is normal??? Thanks
Myran Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 (edited) Please don't add a bunch of exclamation points and questions marks after every sentence. It's bad netiquette and makes you come off as hysterical. Yes, It's completely normal to get a 1 month "under consideration" stamp from the date you apply. If your visa isn't ready on that date, you'll be able to stay until you get it. Your old extension date doesn't matter anymore. Edited July 1, 2021 by Myran
userabcd Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Normal for 30 day under consideration period after application for extension of stay. Normally no worries, immigration sometimes need more time to process the extension and they have told you to wait until approved. Call or visit them again in a few days.

Yes but my visa is EXpire !!!! You got a under consideration stamp with a report back date on it 30 days from the day you applied. That stamp allows you to stay in the country until your extension is approved and stamped in your passport.
