Bangkok Governor Sets End-of-April Target to Clear Collapsed Building Debris
Exactly. Load of drivel. We’re talking about one building and a handful of people not a disaster involving a whole block of buildings in a large area. Defending the inept, more talk less action mentality, prioritizing capturing footage over rescue, not to mention hardly heard from the leadership suggesting the lax mentality of people. I bet they could’ve rescued most if not all if they did something rather than talking, planning, taking videos etc not sure why some people try to defend the incompetence of authorities here. -

What’s required to transfer my visa and extensions into my new uk passport
If you are close to your IO I would suggest giving them a visit to find out exactly what they require, we all know requirements differ greatly between IO’s. I renewed my passport recently and visited my IO to enquire as had heard about bank book and 12 months statement ( i think was mentioned somewhere ). To my surprise they wanted photocopies of all stamped pages of old passport and photo page of new, together with application form only so did it there and then, took about 15 minutes. This was Ayutthaya but just an example of how the requirements may differ. -

Thai State Audit Building Collapse Unveils Alleged Extravagance
File photo for reference only Thailand's well-known webpage, CSI LA, has stirred public concern by unveiling what is believed to be a private 200-seat cinema within the State Audit Building (SAB), which collapsed on March 28. Investigators and citizens alike have turned their attention to the allocation of governmental budgets after this revelation. CSI LA, renowned for its investigative content, uploaded a post featuring details from a 3-D construction plan. This plan appears to show a large cinema-style room in the now-crumbled 30-storey highrise. The potential existence of such a facility in a government building dedicated to auditing and transparency has prompted questions about fiscal responsibility and possible luxury indulgences for officials. The revelations have spurred a heated discussion about whether public funds are being utilised for the benefit of the populace or the comfort of those wielding power. The online discourse resonates with skepticism towards government spending practices, especially in buildings meant to uphold accountability. CSI LA’s message posed a critical inquiry: Is the budget serving the people's needs, or is it an extravagance for the influential few? The sentiment is particularly poignant given the building’s purpose to ensure state transparency. As investigations into the building's collapse continue, these revelations have amplified calls for a thorough examination of government expenditures. The public awaits a detailed explanation of the intended use of such amenities, hoping for accountability and prudence in future fiscal decisions, reported Thai News Room. -- 2025-04-16
