MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte only wanted to “lighten the mood” when he joked about capping Taal Volcano’s crater, Malacañang said Monday.

“The President, of course, was trying to lighten the mood dahil ano ba naman yan, may pandemya na nga, may pagputok pa ng bulkang Taal. That’s the President’s style,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press briefing when sought to comment on criticisms over the President’s joke.

(The President, of course, was trying to lighten the mood because there’s a pandemic and now, the eruption of Taal Volcano. That’s the President’s style.)

another one pearl of ruler in ASEAN.

????

Well, to cap the Taal Vulcano one needs a real big ass, like the one Duterte is sitting on..

This is of course a joke to lighten the mood, it's my style.

And by God, lightening the mood is what's needed in those dark times.

Lightening up the mood aside, if you could harness the energy inside you could supply

the whole country with power ,,,, but how?

They might figure it out oneday

I think he lava-lot at his own jokes...
