The other day, I went for a 2 hour walk. The next morning my knee, lower leg, and outside thigh were in agony. (DOMS) Anyway, I talked to a young massage gal, and we agreed upon 400b for a 2 hour oil massage, plus a 100b tip - if she soothed the pain. (This was not a naughty massage scenario) She did a great job, I was relaxed, and the pain had been minimized. I handed her the cash, and she tells me it's only 420b. WT%! I had forgotten that I had bought some 711 goodies. I dig around my waist bag and come up with 20b. She refused, and stated "You jep mak mak, get baht bus home - then sleep." Wow, I love that beautiful woman - with a good heart - combo"! (AKA -GFE)

First I am gonna give her a 100b, then I am going to get a few more massages from her.

Every week ,just before Songkran, I was going faithfully to one particular young lady in my area ,up in the NorthEast !

2 hours plus 200 bht tip, total cost 800 for a oil massage !

Because of the virus from china , I haven't gone since than ! By the way, I consider what I pay well worth it !

Pre-covid, my daughter came to visit.  She suffers from a chronic shoulder ailment.  I talked her into a massage.  The shop (on 2nd Road) sent for a specialist and the pain disappeared for weeks.  FIVE years later my daughter returned and we sought out the masseuse again but could not remember the precise location & walked back and forth.  Eventually we got noticed and the lady herself came out and remembered my daughter and her ailment.  Who says we all look the same to Thais!
