webfact Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Picture: INN The Crime Suppression Division police have arrested 14 people for making defamatory posts about a well known milk firm. INN did not name the firm as is usually the case in Thailand. In March of last year representatives of the firm had gone to the CSD to file a complaint about a concerted effort to discredit their company. Those responsible were admin and associates on a Facebook site called "Chao Tong Chae". The trouble started at the end of 2019 and involves attempts by a company who had a business dispute with the milk firm who tried to damage them with misleading claims. The CSD said that after evidence was gathered seventeen places in Bangkok were searched when warrants were issued and resulted in the arrest of 14 people. They have been charged with defamation and related offices. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-07-08 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1 1
