I am in the processing of extending my marriage visa with work permit. I've already gone to Immigration for the first round, and, as is customary, had my visa extended for a month at which time it will be extended for another 11 months. (My work permit has been extended for 2 years) My appointment with Immigration is set for July 29th. The thing is, something has come up and I need to leave Thailand before that date. I will be returning after July 29th.  Is there a way I can extend the renewal before then?

You have a under consideration stamp with a report back date 30 days forms when you applied for your extension. It is not a extension.

You could check with your local offices about getting the approval of your your application expedited.

If you left the country you would need a re-entry permit to keep the under consideration period valid when you enter the country. If you entered after that date you would get a visa exempt entry if you qualify for one.

So, if I get a re-entry permit, the waiting period will automatically be extended? Presumably by how many days were left on it when I departed?

Thanks so much for your help.
