a Buddhist holiday

a Royal Birthday

some other event that closes all bars

then most bars will be showing it, as it comes over the free-to-air Australian TV channel.

Recommendations would be The Fighting Roo on Third Road. Roo bar on Walking Street (but Walking Street will be open to traffic at that time) and there's an Aussie bar on Soi Leng Kee (parallel to Soi Chaiyaphum) between 3rd Road and Soi Buakhao.
