Optician in Samui

Dear all,

 

I'm looking for an optician in Samui. Any recommendations? I'm not looking for designer frames, I just want a good eye examination and prescription lens.

 

Obviously, I'd like to get a bargain but I don't mind to pay for a good doctor.

Check eyes at Top Charoen machine (should be free), order at zennioptical (internet, quite cheap).

Lots of opticians with free test, and a wide selection of both frames and lenses, each ranging from less than a few thousand baht and up (after discount, which seems to be available for everybody).

 

I use Top Charoen, Maenam branch.

The best optician that I found the last time I wanted a test, was a Thai guy in Nathon.

One way system heading towards Lipa Noi on the left, a few hundred meters before it becomes two way.

Sorry, I cannot remember the name and it was about 7 years ago.

I am pretty sure that there was a dedicated thread about it but it looks like a lot of older threads have been deleted.

There used to be a thread about the eye doctor who had a place on the beach road in Nathon who then moved to just after the big roundabout (old immigration turn off) heading into Nathon
