Hi,

I originally moved to Thailand in November 2019. Was on an education visa, learning Thai, and had plans to change that to a non B when I found work (I'm a qualified EFL teacher) but returned to the UK in March 2020 due to the uncertainty amidst the first wave of COVID cases.

So after 18 months in the UK I'm planning to come back to Thailand initially via the Phuket Sandbox scheme before going on to live and work elsewhere in country . Not great timing, I know, with recent surge in COVID cases but I'm willing to chance it.  Is it possible to fly in on a tourist visa then switch to a non-B once I have found work. Obviously, going to neighbouring countries to validate change in visa is no longer possible so maybe the authorities have relaxed this rule. Any guidance on this would be much appreciated

Thanks

I assume this is still possible?

i do believe it is, it was always and will be possible

it is also not illegal to look for a job with Tourist visa and you can change it in thailand when you found one.
