You wrote as though you think what happened in India was inevitable or necessary. What you are suggesting should "play out" is total defeat of the healthcare system, fighting in the street for oxygen bottles and an extrodinary number of deaths to achieve community immunity instead of vaccination.  Crude and callous.

It was indeed inevitable, what else could have been done in a country like India?

The immunity last only for ½ a years, then you must have a new booster shot.

The only solution is to vaccinate the whole world and pray..., if it wont work, we'll have to live beside it until a real medicine will be found.

Not true. The researcher on the Joe Rogan show has antibodies after 10months.

They know this as they get tested before every show.

Endemic, just like every other rhino and corona virus.

Nearly everyone survives, unless they have a weak immune system, or other diagnosed health issues.

Your internet friends who gave you those talking points failed to inform you that most people have some form of health issues, diagnosed or not.

But do the medical community really know the long term affects?

What if these vaccines are the new Thalidomide?

If you and other anti-vaxxers were serious, you would set up a charity to help those people who got vaccinated and now suffer the long term consequences.

If what this guy says is true, I wonder what the time frame would be.

I would think that if it is true, the whole world should just open up now and try and get back to previous years before the Cvirus came. what would there be to lose?

India reportedly lost 4 million people.

You may very well be right, but who can you trust with all the different figures. Another thing, but this is just a thought, how many people die every year in India with other illnesses like the ordinary flu and phuemonia? Maybe that is linked in with the Cvirus statistics, as I say it's just a thought.

Your thought doesn’t take into account the concept of “excess mortality”. Most people here know all about that, so when they see posts that suggest that Covid is a hoax because it’s really the flu, they know the poster is misinformed.

You want to know the future ?

Look at Philippines...

Record "cases"... but they open again.

Source : https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/philippines-duterte-relax-coronavirus-curbs-capital-region-2021-08-19/

Because they can't mimic anymore the madness of rich western countries.

We put on the side Reality since january 2020... Now Reality is coming back. With a vengeance.

Do you seriously believe that millions, dozen of millions of people (just for South East Asia) will continue to keep quiet... after loosing everything ? That we can continue with closures, the destruction of the economy ?

That's a wet dream for terrified old baby boomers in western countries.

Aka : an ultra minority as far as the whole planet is concerned.

Thailand will eventually take the same path. Because it has no choice. Sure the Bangkok elite won't be happy... Covid is so fashion. Especially when you suffer no consequences.

But zero hope for millions of people that's a recipe for a revolution.

And within the already volatile political situation of the country, since many years... it would be plain madness to ignore this.

Manila has had a strict 2 week lockdown, and now a slight loosening of restrictions.

is the future of Thailand? To live permanently under near lockdown restrictions?

I guess you might be having tough time if the number is dropping.

No ???? .....................dropped to normal levels; the two peak periods saw cremations increase by 50%, and at other times +20% or so.

Well I'm not an anti-vaxxer so yah-boo-sucks to you.

And shouldn't it be the responsibility of the drug companies that are making millions $$$$$$$$$ from these vaccines to help those that suffer long term consequences?

Do you know that they apply "excess mortality" rates to 'flu yearly?

If you follow the rules you don't get it, this is the only thing to tell

So you're saying that the 20,000+ a day getting Covid in Thailand are not wearing masks?

Because we all know that we've been told by "experts" that masks prevent Covid.

Especially when you're bonking apparently ????

It reads like you have a valid point to make, but I just can't understand what it is.

Can you explain better? I guess English is not your native language and you Google translated this?

Dash,

I wasn't trying to be funny or put you down or anything.

I just really think what you were trying to say got lost in translation, and that it may be worth hearing?

Highly unlikely. Even with the virus conquered or at least left cowering in a corner, the whole world has changed as a result of the pandemic and it won't be going back to 2019: supply chains, expectations of governments, health consciousness, education methods, international relations, economic structures, digital economy and on & on ... And of course tourism: how much? where? how managed?

Certainly true. Things won't be the same for, at least, 5 or 10 years. That is, if this virus becomes as 'mild' as the yearly flu...

The difference to other rhino- and coronaviruses is, that this particular virus creates long-term damage all over the human body. That's why it is still my belief that this virus did not evolve naturally, but via enhancement in a laboratory.

But 'flu isn't always mild. According to ONC in UK in 2018 / 2019 over 50,000 Excess Winter Deaths occurred due to a new form of 'flu, which is more than Covid caused in the same period since its invention.
