Thailand’s National Health Security Office will reduce the allowance, given to COVID-19 patients in home or community isolation, to 600 baht per day, from 1,000 baht, to eliminate duplication of allowances, effective from September 1st.

NHSO Secretary-General Dr. Jadet Thamtat-aree said Sunday that they have found that numerous patients in home or community isolation in various provinces are being provided free food by local administration organizations, hence, the decision to cut the food allowance.

Normally, the 1,000 baht daily allowance covers three meals a day, basic medication, counselling and monitoring services, provided by private clinics which have joined the home or community isolation program.

Damn, a money pit meant only for the Hi-So's seems to have made it's way to the general public, but now that's been fixed, and only Hi-So's can feed at the trough.  Of course they need their 3 sushi filled meals, and high end foods delivered and ergo why its 1k a day, as they also must have direct access to the on-line monitors and medications are sent by rapid courier Drones, with video conferencing with those mental health officials to talk with about how their life has been affected and they feel like a mere mortal..
