These police dont seem very bright to me they must have known there was video cam's in the room didnt they have any safe houses to take them too?

Perhaps they didn't know there were cameras. If the cameras were placed there by honest officers who then posted the video because no one higher up would listen to them or they were afraid of the backlash from complaining.

How stupid must you be to commit murder with video cameras operating? Answer: Really stupid.
Makes one wonder how many times this was done before.

At the time, they weren't committing murder, they were committing extortion that inadvertently turned into a murder.

He has been stripped of his position and transferred to region 6 headquarters as an initial response. He can appeal this.

So not instant dismissal then or detained, allowing him time to leg-it.

And what about the others that aided him in the office... nothing?

They are all facing charges, why are you suggesting that their only punishment is being fired?

From the article, and it only mentions the station chief being charged in the article...

Quote

Chief of the Royal Thai police Gen Suwat Chaengyodsuk has accepted that the clip is real and wants all concerned dismissed from the force.

Quote

He has instigated charges of murder against Pol Col Thitisan Uthanaphol, chief of the Muang Nakhon Sawan police who is on the run.

I think they’re all guilty of murder, shall be punished and must be sentenced to imprisonment for life.

A life sentence might only last a couple of days if they get put in with the general population.

I think the majority of police officers try to do the job. The problem is that they are not allowed to complain about superior officers or colleagues of long service. The superiors are always given the benefit of the doubt and can institute repercussions against the complainant(s) because they are left in post. Hence junior officers are forced to look the other way or join in

They must have to doing repeatedly such that they are immune and arrogantly do this in impunity before cameras. This is also suggested on the Thai social media. Finally GOD caught up with them.

I bet you the cop had a nice watch.  A really expensive nice watch.  But not as nice as other public servants.  They have even nicer watches.

This cop keeps cars - lamborgini and ferraris - he is called "joe ferrari"

No one anywhere should face instant dismissal on the basis of allegations until proven. Suspension is appropriate and in this case arrest and detention of the culprits. The video was posted online no official complaint was made, the culprits legged it before the video was recognised and brought to the attention of the authorities Not everyone trawls Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The station chief of Muang Nakhon Sawan police in northern Thailand faces a charge of murder after a video posted by a lawyer shocked the nation.

Who exactly is shocked!  Everyone in Thailand knows about the police corruption so nobody should be shocked about this latest episode.  Nothing will change and it will all be swept under the carpet as usual.
