PHUKET: Officers from Phuket Immigration arrested three Russians, two men and one woman, in Koh Kaew today (Sept.8) for fleeing bail in Pattaya, where they are wanted to face charges for assault and theft of paintings reportedly worth B50 million.

(Reuters) - Thailand's capital launched on Wednesday a pilot bus service to ensure that the elderly and other vulnerable groups in Bangkok are vaccinated against COVID-19, underscoring the country's push to speed up its inoculation campaign.

PHUKET: Witness testimonies in the trial of Pornthep Channarong, the corporal with the Phuket Provincial Police who was drunk off-duty when he shot 25-year-old noodle vendor Aroon Thongplab in the stomach on Bangla Rd in Patong in February, has been deferred, The Phuket news has confirmed.

Domestic visitors to Phuket can conduct own rapid tests at checkpoint

PHUKET: All domestic visitors arriving at the Phuket Check Point at Tha Chatchai to come onto the island are now allowed to bring their own antigen test kits (ATKs) and use them at the checkpoint to prove they are not infected with COVID-19.

Thailand confirms first case of VITT linked to AZ jab

Pattaya hit by heavy overnight storms, suffers widespread flooding and damage

Arrivals warned to not use saliva COVID-19 test kits

PHUKET: Health officials at the Phuket Check Point in Tha Chatchai have warned that they will not issue negative test confirmation documents for antigen test kits (ATKs) that checks saliva samples only. Arrivals who present saliva test ATKs only will be denied entry to the island.

BANGKOK (NNT) - Although the government has already eased lockdown measures, most visitors to Pattaya are still Thais who arrive on the weekends. Pattaya business owners say they hope the government will soon reopen the whole country as income from Thai tourists alone is not enough to run their businesses.
