Thailand to get 71m more COVID-19 vaccine doses this year; Pfizer for teens

BANGKOK (NNT) - The government’s COVID-19 task force has announced a target of 24 million vaccinations in October, with 71 million more doses of vaccine from various manufacturers to be delivered in the last three months of 2021. Mass vaccination for adolescents aged 12-17 years will also begin in October with two Pfizer doses given.

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has confirmed his decision to relieve two Cabinet ministers of their posts was done in the interests of national administration, rebutting claims by the opposition that the moves hint at disorder within the coalition.

PHUKET: The main SuperCheap shopping complex in Rassada, north of Phuket Town, has been ordered closed for seven days as a measure to prevent COVID-19 infections from spreading after at least 23 staff there were confirmed infected.
