No CCSA decision yet on Bangkok reopening on Oct 15th, quarantine remains

Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has not yet made a decision on the reopening of Bangkok to fully vaccinated and COVID-19 negative international arrivals by October 15th, but mandatory quarantine will remain in place for visitors or returnees to the city, according to the CCSA Friday.

The Phuket Sandbox does not help most small business owners, says local entrepreneurs

Local shop owners and entrepreneurs in Phuket mutually agreed that the Phuket Sandbox, a program to attract foreign vaccinated tourists, did not help domestic tourism and small business owners since it first launched in July.

‘Phuket Sandbox’ welcomes 33,000+ arrivals during 1 July – 16 September

Back in late April, Thailand announced plans to purchase Russia’s Sputnik V, the world’s first registered COVID-19 vaccine. Given the Thai government’s desperation to diversify vaccine supplies and Sputnik V’s portrayal as a decent alternative to the mRNA vaccines that are difficult to manufacture and store, the announcement was much hyped. But, four months later, Sputnik V has mysteriously vanished from the public discourse.

A 58.5MW floating PV plant in Thailand, said to be the largest install of its kind in the country, has been connected to the grid, according to inverter and floating solutions supplier Sungrow.

Sept 17: Prachuap reports 140 new COVID-19 cases, 69 cases in Hua Hin

Danish appeal authority approve Wasuthon’s adoption in Thailand and opens up for Danish adoption

Wasuthon who also goes by the nickname “Guide” now has his adoption approved under Danish law. After the family got the adoption rejected twice, the Appeal Authority of Denmark has now overruled the verdicts and the family can file for a Danish adoption for Guide, Fredericia Dagblad writes.
