wonder how long before the govt find something to shut this down, cant have anyone helping the populace to get smarter/more knowledgeable about what they are doing. Removing any threats to their authority as has been shown in the past will mean doing whatever it takes so they remain in power

I hope he didn't help them with a loan.

I just hope that in a very close future he will kick old farts axxes heavily and run the show.

He, together with Pinguin, Rung and the other people carrying hope are the only lights at this deep dark political horizon. All locals I asked about him like him and dislike deeply dancing Cha Cha Cha.

Interesting to note regarding the expected associations of FFP/Move Forward/Progressive Foundation and the long standing Shinawatra circles. Appears that both have gone out of their way to distance themselves from one another.

This mutual silence goes way back from when Khun Thanathorn and his FFP became a viable force, therefore threating to the ruling class, a few years ago to his somewhat voluntary and present exile in France.

It's quite obvious that Thaksin, and all associated, feel a threat as well.

More of the true colours of the Shinawatras, and their following, than that of Thanathorn and his patronage.

Another fascinating aspect to this highly charged circus that is Thai politics are the supposed loyalties, ideals and philosophies deriving from well known [and noticed publicly] Thai activists, scholars, prominent exiles, etc  that speak little of an individual but more to the cause or collective movement.

I, like some, follow all their works and have concluded that these types aren't really committed to any set standards of what has been put forth [ex: Thanathorn or Thaksin cults].

And what the latest wave of demonstrators/protesters of the last several months?

Fashion and symbols? Or something more substantial?

fundation is a back up to move forward, which will be losing seats at the next election because of just changed election laws targeted at them (and in favour of phua thai and PPRP).

On top of that, the establishment will allow thaksin to come back and even serve as an advisor in the next government, just to divert voters away from thanathorn.

"The source said that should Move Forward exceed expectations, a group within the ruling party and backed by the establishment were ready to use their “trump card.”

“We also are ready to move forward with a legal case against the party for disrespecting the institution,” said the source. “Many of [Move Forward’s MPs] are very careless and openly posting on social media or making speeches disparaging the sacred institution. Their calls for the abolishment of article 112 is also very well recorded.”

“We are sure that should we mount a legal case, Move Forward Party would likely be disbanded for touching on subjects that are above politics.”

The Move Forward group need to understand and practice finesse and the long term game, wielding a sledge-hammer doesn't cut it - gently gently , catchy money .

Article 112 is the politics. The only politics.

Nah. Such patient and tolerant practices don't work toward the ever-present ruling classes.

Contemporary history will tell you that they don't care for any such rumblings of alternatives or change.

You have a point, but it's the average Thai that needs cultivating to a new way of thinking - currently the bad-mouthing of the unspeakable and like methods is not liked and  is counter productive to many ordinary citizens. That's the reason I mentioned finesse and the long game. Slowly slowly, educate and change people's thinking - long term it will reap benefits for the country.
