MRToMRT
Hi, I just went to my local SCB to enquire about an 800K bank letter, I am going for an extension of stay next week. All I got was blank looks and shrugs. Has anyone used an SCB near to Sukhumvit 49 (Bangkok) for the bank letter? Or knows what the Thai name for the letter is? A million thanks. ubonjoe
You should be able to show them this one from Bangkok Bank so they can understand what you want. bank letter.pdf

SCB don't have branch at CW. Nearest one is Lotus building. Not far. Use motorbike. 1

KhunBENQ
This is the site from SCB explaining what you want in Thai: https://www.scb.co.th/th/personal-banking/other-services/certificate-of-finance/certification-of-deposit-account-balance.html And in English: https://www.scb.co.th/en/personal-banking/other-services/certificate-of-finance/certification-of-deposit-account-balance.html Both text contain immigration office as an example of use. OP, just show this text , they will know what you want ; it means " guaranteed deposit " and, below , in Thai , " for commander of immigration office " ( more or less translated )
TallGuyJohninBKK
And FWIW, two different IOs at BKK CW confirmed in the past week -- one to myself and another to forum member @Pib -- that they'll accept bank deposit letters dated up to 7 days prior to your Immigration visit. Though obviously, it's better to get the letter as close to your visit date as possible.
