snoop1130 Posted October 7, 2021 Share Posted October 7, 2021 Residents of 11 riverside communities in Bangkok, located outside the protective flood walls, have been advised to track the water situation in the Chao Phraya River closely, which is expected to rise by 30-50cm over the next 3 days. Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang said today (Thursday) that an average of 3,069 cubic meters/second of water werebeing released through the Chao Phraya Dam in Chainat province into the river as of 6am this morning. He assured, however, that most of Bangkok is still safe from the rising river, noting that the water level, measured at Pak Klong Talad, remains at 1.24 metres below the top of the flood walls.
